In the table below we publish comparative economical data. Growth is intensive and stable in the Romanian and Serbian economy. Hungarian economy on the other hand has significant reserves in export and investment directed to the neighbouring countries.

Multilingual euroregional news portal, thematic pages in Népszabadság (one of the leading daily news in Hungary) and Dnevnik (Vojvodina), news exchange programme and bilateral partnerships of an increasing number of media; these are the main results of the ERIC project of the DKMT Euroregion, launched two years ago.

Real emergency situations were simulated in the field for training purposes at Titel (Vojvodina), where Hungarian, Romanian and Serbian experts of the DKMT Euroregion met for practice. The Romanians are especially good at rescuing people from wells.

Dr. Miklós Juhász, retired reader in biology at the University of Szeged, has operated a euroregional pollen information system for decades, practically free.

In all the countries of the DKMT Euroregion the question of land-ownership has a strategic importance. If the system is too strict, there will be a lot of vegetating small estates; if it is too indulgent, local entrepreneurs will be crowded out.

The affiliated department of the Faculty of Horticulture of Kecskemét College in Bácsalmás has students even from Vojvodina. The students, most of whom have an estate of their own, can acquire a knowledge that suits the region’s characteristics.

For now lorries are more popular than cargo ships or trains; without properly motivating regulation (both supporting and forcing) water transport increases slowly. A lot of ships let even garbage and sewage into the Danube.
